<p>Assignment:<br />
Looking to improve upon an existing tool, Dentsply Rinn came to Three R Plastics Inc. Knowing the capabilities of Three R Plastics Inc. from prior projects, Dentsply Rinn came to Three R Plastics Inc. for a two shot molded assembly solution.</p>
<p>Process:<br />
Using the latest modeling software Solidworks, Three R Plastics Inc. Was able to design and build a production family style mold along with the required second shot mold, as well as the required tools for assembling of the molded units.  The initial first shot family style mold gave Three R Plastics Inc. The ability to process a complete molded parts set for followup second shot molding and assembly.  A streamlined design and manufacturing process up front has allowed competitive molding and final assembly in house at Three R Plastics Inc.</p>
<p>Accomplishment:<br />
Three R Plastics Inc. Assisted Dentsply Rinn in bringing an all new unit to market.  The new unit helped Dentsply Rinn increase their competitive edge with a stronger, easier to use, and more versatile product.  Increased bottom line and a better product, what more could one ask for?</p>

Three R Plastics Inc. Met with Navistar on several occaisions. An initial design was created and the ball began rolling from there. After approval of designs, Three R Plastics Inc. began rapid prototyping the required parts. SLA models would have been too brittle to test, requiring machined models. This was a perfect situation for having such a capable tool room in house. After the models and designs were approved, Three R Plastics went into producing a high volume mold for the customer. After countless molded parts, these tools have yet to be down for repair.</p>

<p>Process:<br />
Three R Plastics Inc. Began with solid models from the customer, with strict requirements for parting lines, gating, ejector locations, along with high tech material requirements. Three R Plastics Inc. Met these requirements with excitement and set to production of tooling. Tooling was built around not only strict molding requirements, but around overmolded inserts from outside vendors. Tools were built, and are run to this day and despite intricate small parts, have had almost no down-time; allowing on-time delivery of completed molded assemblies.</p>

<p>Accomplishment:</p>
<p>Three R Plastics gained much from this project. Not only did Three R Plastics learn about new molding materials, but also new molding techniques with a further indepth knowledge of custom multi-cavity unthreading tools. A project that has benefited both customer and Three R Plastics.</p>

Gelrilla came to Three R Plastics Inc. With an exciting project of producing a molded energy gel packet holder for bicyclists. With a great love for the outdoors, Three R Plastics Inc. Gelrilla brought 3D Solid Models to Three R Plastics Inc., explained their needs and gave us free reign to make the tools in the best way possible. Three R Plastics Inc. Was able to make the molds to not only run extremely quickly, but also allow for quick change between tools in the molding room. This process allowed Three R Plastics Inc. A great flexibility in providing the customer multiple variations in color with their end product. Quick molding allows Three R Plastics Inc. To package and deliver a completed product to the customer with minimal lead-times.<br />

<p>Accomplishment:<br />
Three R Plastics Inc. Was able to bring a complete turn-key package to Gelrilla. A complete ready to use product, straight out of the gate with no issues. Gelrilla was able to bring these units to riders competing in the Tour De France. A great partnership formed from a great project.</p>
